The bed fits a standard twin size mattress. Birch plywood is used for most of the construction and the wheels actually support the bed, keeping it off the floor and making it look more like a real race car. Any kid will cherish this sturdy piece of bedtime FUNiture. The front hood area opens to reveal a toy box and the rear spoiler is the perfect place for a light. Take a look at the lower picture, sent by a satisfied customer. The tool chest dresser next to the car is a great addition to a race themed room, too!
Materials for the race car bed, as pictured is about $150. The overall finished size is 93" long, 50" wide, 42" high. Full size templates are included for the sides of the train and other curves. The plans come in a tube (unique, as 99.9% of our plans are folded), so you must opt for Priority mail to get this special set of plans. $5.50 total S&H. A set of instructions, materials list and exploded diagrams are also included.
