The bed fits a standard twin size mattress. You use birch plywood to construct the bed and including the fastners, framing material, etc., the total cost will approach $250. In addition to the modern look of the fire truck, special features make this bed unique. . .for one, there is a step side platform on the rear of the bed so youngsters can step up to get in the back. . .plus, the roof gives the bed a real feel of a truck.

Plenty of extras to imagine for this project. The overall finished size is 89" long, 43" wide, 43" high. Full size templates are included for the sides of the truck and other curves. The plans are quite bulky, so you must opt for Priority mail to get this special set of plans. $5.50 total S&H. A set of instructions, materials list and exploded diagrams are all included.
