Sonny writes: "The tree that I used is from the local area and was approx 275 to 300 years old. If anyone else is going to try the same type be sure to let them know that the wood is still very high moisture content even after having been cut down for over 7 years. I enjoyed your plans and look forward to the next project. (The tree was downed during a hurricane that hit georgia in 1993.)
