If you're a wood turner, this project will provide a few hours on the lathe. You have eight pieces which the plan asks you to turn. As you can see, the turnings are not overly ornate, but it will get you turning. . .likewise, the legs could be made of 1-1/2" dowels if you do not have a lathe (yet) or choose not to use one.
The sturdy little stool is about 1' square and stands 27" tall to the seat back. It's nice for children to sit on for a good old traditional "time out" and for using in a playroom, making it a neat project for the woodworker, the parent, and the children.
